Roosevelt High school

So.....Ms. Yonamina, as you will see, is one of the most bad-ass, fierce and loving people you'll ever come across. She has given her genius, endless energy and skill to teaching at Roosevelt High School in Portland, a school facing gentrification, oppressive pedagogy, systemic discrimination and racism in Oregon in a Trump White House. Her loyal colleagues approached me to talk to her students and create a video to include in her portfolio as a candidate for the national Teaching Tolerance Award for Excellence in Teaching.

RHS Engineering

Roosevelt High School's Gear UP program needed a video that showcases the breadth and depth of the growing Engineering Program headed by Randy Scott. The making of pinball machines from scratch was the perfect project to illustrate the balance of technical and creative skills RHS students learn in Mr. Scott's class.

Into the Wonder

Annamieka is a Portland, Oregon painter. Documenting her artistic process, layer over layer, was an experience in intuitive and free-form creation. As an artist and a healer, she needed a video that captured the spirit of how to paint from a place of wonder.

Goddess Forgotten

Painting saved Carrie Schmidt's life. Now, her home is full of flowers, giant painted canvases of the fully bloomed. Flowers pour out of her hands and onto anything she can paint. As an artist, she stays connected to her community of women, offering hope and holding a beacon. This video is a conceptual documentary of the transformation from darkness to bloom.
